Image Resource Group was selected by Federated Department Stores to take full turnkey implementation responsibility for its new Macy’s nationwide rebranding initiative. Department store brands being re-imaged included Rich’s / Goldsmith’s (Mid South), Burdine’s (Florida), Lazarus (Ohio Valley), and The Bon Marche (Northwest). A year later IRG was selected for full turnkey implementation responsibility with Macy’s acquisition of May & Co., which was the largest conversion in US retailing history (115 million sq.ft.).
Image Resource Group’s engagement was far-reaching and included the development of brand design standards, oversight of the manufacturing process, and implementation, including on-site restorations and renovation activities.
Image Resource Group has been retained by Macy’s to support their launch of Macy’s Backstage. Implementation initially was accomplished throughout the greater New York City area. Phase II expanded the Macy’s Backstage brand from the northeast to the Dallas area with 16 additional stores.
Continuing its long relationship with Macy’s IRG is rebranding and upgrading existing signs by installing new LED technology as signs at stores across the United States are being modernized. Once again, IRG is able to deploy resources to support the needs of a valued client.
